I’ve always thought that making a decision to buy an electric car would involve making significant compromises. Compromises in terms of the vehicle’s looks and driving performance. Of course, there is always the idea of making a statement about your commitment to being a good global citizen, but is a Toyota Prius the eco-friendly statement that everyone wants to make? Maybe, but why can’t we have both – a car with the styling and performance of a sports car, but the economy and environmental friendliness of an electric vehicle?

Even though I can’t afford a Tesla, it’s good to know that an electric car can have that kind of acceleration. But does an electric vehicle have a soul? Read the following article from Ars Technica  and decide for yourself:
