How to Turn a Service Recommendation into an Email Reminder

Turn a Service Recommendation into an Email Reminder

Service recommendations play a vital role across all stages of the maintenance and repair cycle. From letting a consumer know about a specific service need, through the actual purchase decision, recommendations are vital to the success of any automotive shop.

Shops that use the Mitchell 1 SocialCRM marketing service benefit from a feature that will automatically send out email reminders for any service recommendation in the shop management system. Below are six easy steps for SocialCRM shops to set up this feature to ensure recommendations are automatically sent to their eligible customers in a friendly service reminder email. Step #1: Make sure that your account is configured with the Recommendation feature. It’s as simple as emailing or calling your SocialCRM Support Agent to confirm.

Step #2: Under the vehicle option in Manager SE, click the “ADD” button on the upper right side of the Recommendations field.

Step #3: Select the appropriate “Date Work Needed” date.

Step #4: Select the appropriate “Category” for the recommended service.

Step #5: Type in the actual recommended service needed in the “Work Recommended” field (you can use the standard work options if applicable). Example: “Needs and oil change.”

Step #6: Click “OK” at the bottom right.

Once the invoice is paid and posted, the customer will receive an email reminding them of their recommended service 30 days in advance of the “Date Work Needed” date that you entered.
