The End of R134a?

EPA proposes changes to SNAP listing

Motor Age — On July 9, the EPA issues a Notice Of Proposed Rulemaking that, among other items of interest, includes the phase out of R134a. If adopted (and we see no reason why it won’t be), R134a will no longer be an acceptable refrigerant for use in new “light duty” model platforms beginning with the 2021 MY. But don’t put a “For Sale” sign on your R134a equipment just yet!
